Cultural heritage and rural tourism are major economic boosters in West Virginia, with growth expected to continue in the coming years. In the past, there has been no efficient mechanism to connect small tourism businesses with appropriate spaces and places. That is, until now.
The goal of the West Virginia Business Site Locator for Heritage Tourism is to match tourism businesses looking to locate in culturally-rich heritage areas with appropriate properties in West Virginia communities.
The pilot program will connect tourism businesses with potential commercial properties in the following communities:
- Ansted, West Virginia
- Beverly, West Virginia
- Charleston (East End), West Virginia
- Mannington, West Virginia
- Philippi, West Virginia
- Point Pleasant, West Virginia
- Ripley, West Virginia
- St. Albans, West Virginia
- Webster Springs, West Virginia
The success of this site will determine the addition of more West Virginia communities in the future.
