Why Locate to Point Pleasant?

With a supportive community and local government, Point Pleasant anticipates an active future for its heritage tourism efforts. In the last two years, Point Pleasant has developed an Activities Committee and a Marketing Committee specifically for the enhancement of heritage tourism in the town.

Downtown Point PleasantPoint Pleasant is home to a number of historic tourism destinations. The town has recently developed a Riverfront Park Historic Time Line attraction that will educate and entertain visitors on such topics as the Shawnee Indian village, Lord Dunmore's War, the Battle of Point Pleasant, "Mad" Ann Bailey and the Silver Bridge disaster. Walk-through tours, world-class murals and a high-tech sound system will add to the experience for all visitors.

Traffic volume on Point Pleasant's primary routes through town have a daily average of 21 thousand, with two-way traffic generating 40 thousand in volume every ten minutes. Parking is easily accessible with lots on two sides of the foot of the main bridge. City Hall, postal service, three banking institutions, one hotel, courthouse, and 10 tourist attractions are all within three blocks of one another.

Point Pleasant's Riverfront ParkA 5.8 million dollar project to build Point Pleasant's Riverfront Park has recently been completed. In addition, Point Pleasant is home to the Mothman legacy. The town started a Mothman Festival that brings in thousands of tourists to downtown Point Pleasant's merchants.
